To Our Community:

I am happy to announce that St. Luke’s is coming to Sugar Land to serve the Fort Bend area.Beryl Ramsey

St. Luke’s has long been known for quality in the Texas Medical Center, and is now bringing its unique combination of modern technology and special brand of caring for the whole person to Houston’s fastest growing community.

St. Luke’s has joined forces with high-quality physicians in our community to operate a 100-bed general acute care hospital in Sugar Land’s Lake Pointe Town Center, located at the northeast section of U.S. Highway 59 and Highway 6. The development of our hospital is grounded in a collaborative approach to healthcare to meet the medical needs of the growing community.

Opening in October, 2008, the hospital will offer a wide spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services. Included in the facility will be two floors of beautifully decorated private rooms, built under evidence based design to further the quality of care offered to our patients, and a full floor dedicated to women’s services, including a newborn nursery and a level 2 neonatal intensive care unit with medical services provided by Texas Children’s Hospital affiliated neonatologists. Critical care services are a feature of the hospital, including a 16-bed intensive care unit, 8 surgical suites, special procedure rooms for endoscopy and pain procedures, cardiac catheterization labs, a 12-room emergency department with 5 pediatric observation rooms supported by Texas Children’s Hospital affiliated fellowship trained pediatric emergency medicine physicians, and a sleep center. Diagnostic and imaging services will be very comprehensive, and will in include a 1.5T MRI and a 64-slice CT scan, both with cardiac capability.

Patients at St. Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital can expect the high quality of care that is associated with the St. Luke’s name. Services and amenities are also being developed with the patient and physician in mind. Some of the featured technologies at St. Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital will include electronic patient records, patient rooms with internet access and flat screen televisions, and room service for patient meals.

We invite you to join us for our grand opening events, and ask that you please watch for more information to follow regarding those events. For additional questions about our hospital, please contact Kim Perkins, Director of Physician and Community Relations at 281-637-7000. We look forward to serving our Fort Bend community in the near future!
