The St. Luke's Sugar Land Hospital Employee Activity Committee selected the Souperbowl of Caring Food Drive as its January activity, in order to combine friendly competition with giving back to the community. Departments collected food during last week of January and then weighed the total amount of food collected on February 2nd. The First place department winner was the Facilities Department, followed by the Peri-Operative Services Department.
In total, the hospital collected 3638 pounds of food! Food was then donated to the East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, whose mission is to address the basic human needs of families in temporary financial crisis.
